The hospitality of the Planeta family finds a home in the heart of the historic centre of Sambuca di Sicilia at Casa Panitteri. This ancient dwelling houses the Archaeological Museum, a small jewel full of artefacts from Selinunte and Adranone.
Thanks to a partnership between the Municipality of Sambuca di Sicilia and Airbnb, in 2018, this flat was transformed into an Artist’s House; as of this year, it has become one of Planeta’s hospitality venues.
Here, guests will spend their stay between history and culture, art and design, in an intimate and unique location. The artistic heart of the house is a work by the painter Edoardo Piermattei: a fresco on the ceiling of the living area that is also echoed in the four-poster bed.

From Casa Panitteri you can explore the village with a nice walk through the Saracen alleys. Sambuca di Sicilia is part of the association ‘I Borghi più belli d’Italia’ (Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages), small towns that stand out for their historical, artistic and cultural relevance, for the harmony of their urban structure, liveability and services.
